Account Security#

Keep your Knowivate Account secure by managing your password, monitoring login activity, and following security best practices.

Change your password#

You can change your password in two ways, depending on whether you remember your current password.

Change password (when you know your current password)#

  1. Go to change password page: Visit Change Password
  2. Enter old password: Verify your identity by entering your current password.
  3. Enter new password: Create a strong new password.
  4. Confirm changes: Your password is updated immediately.

Reset password (if you forgot your password)#

  1. Go to forgot password page: Visit Forgot Password
  2. Enter your email: Provide your registered email address.
  3. Check your email: You'll receive a password reset link.
  4. Click the reset link: This link is valid for a limited time.
  5. Create new password: Enter and confirm your new password.
  6. Sign in: Use your new password to access your account.

For Google sign-in users

If you signed up with Google and want to set a password for email/password sign-in, use the "Forgot password" option. This lets you create a password so you can sign in with either method.

Tip

Create a strong password with at least 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters.

Login history and activity#

Knowivate maintains a mandatory login log to protect your account. This helps you monitor all access to your account.

View your login logs#

Your login history shows:

  • Date and time of each login
  • Device type and browser used
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Login method (password, OTP, or Google)
  • Success or failure status

Manage your login logs#

You can view and clean up your login history:

  1. Go to account information: Visit Account Information
  2. View login logs: Scroll to "Recent Sign-in Activity" section to see all your login attempts.
  3. Clear logs: In the "Security Settings" section, click "Clear Sign-in Logs" to remove all login records.

Important

Login logs are mandatory for security purposes. While you can delete old logs, new login activity will continue to be recorded to protect your account.

Security best practices#

Follow these tips to keep your account secure:

  • Use a strong, unique password for your Knowivate Account
  • Never share your password with anyone
  • Change your password regularly (every 3-6 months)
  • Review your login history regularly for suspicious activity
  • Sign out from shared or public devices
  • Use password reset if you suspect unauthorized access
  • Keep your email account secure (it's used for password resets)

Suspicious activity#

If you notice any suspicious activity in your login history:

  1. Change your password immediately: Use the password reset option.
  2. Review login logs: Check for unrecognized devices or locations.
  3. Sign out all sessions: End all active sessions except your current one.
  4. Contact support: Report the suspicious activity to contact@knowivate.com

Current limitations#

Please note the following current limitations:

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) is not yet available
  • Mobile phone number cannot be added to accounts
  • SMS-based verification is not currently supported
